$1.1 million in upgrades have been completed at the SUNY Poly campus in Marcy.

The project was funded through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York's SUNY Dormitory Facilities Program, which issues low-cost, tax-exempt bonds supported by student residence hall fees.

A second phase of bathroom upgrades was done at SUNY Poly's Adirondack Hall, including a complete remodel of 32 bathrooms, which included the installation of new toilets, vanities, fixtures, ceramic tiles and finishes

Phase one of the project consisted of 68 bathroom improvements.

SUNY Polytechnic Institute Interim President Grace Wang said, "As SUNY Poly maintains a vibrant campus in Utica, it is imperative for our institution to keep its infrastructure up to date, and we are thankful to the Dormitory Authority for their work, which helps to provide our students with the best housing possible. Alongside our top-tier faculty and growing academic programs, our buildings are critical in our mission to enhance the quality of student life and provide our students with exciting educational experiences."

A total of $31 million was provided to SUNY campuses throughout the state.
