1.6 Million Leave New York State In Past Decade
Utica, NY (WIBX) – A Report from the Empire Center for New York State Policy confirmed New York to have the highest percentage of population loss in all 50 states over the past decade.
New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb stated today that New Yorkers are voting with their feet–plain and simple.
The Minority Leader says the highest taxes nationwide and a lack of jobs, its no surprise that over 1.6 million New Yorkers have left the state from 2000 to 2010.
He says Albany’s fiscal irresponsibility will continue to send the message that New York is NOT open for business.
Kolb went on to say, “we need to reverse course immediately by capping state spending, cutting taxes on businesses and transforming our State Agencies from job destroyers to job creators. This is the public policy agenda Albany must pursue.”
