100 Pot Plants, Equipment Seized After Burglary Report
CAMILLUS, N.Y. (AP) — Officials say police have seized 100 marijuana plants and growing equipment while responding to a report of a possible burglary of a shed in the backyard of a central New York home.
The Syracuse Post-Standard reports (http://bit.ly/2chopvc ) Capt. Steve Rotunno says a neighbor called police last week when something appeared "suspicious" at the property in the Onondaga (ahn-uhn-DAH'-gah) County village of Camillus (kuh-MIHL'-us).
Officers found a shed with the doors open and items out of place. Rotunno says they found evidence of a marijuana growing operation. He says they later found a sophisticated growing operation within the residence.
Nicholas Fretwell has been arrested and faces drug-related charges. He was ordered held on $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond. It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer.
An investigation is ongoing.
