Where were you when the lights went out?

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the Blackout of 2003.

A power blackout cascaded from northeast Ohio to seven other states, including New York, and parts of Canada.

The blackout affected some 50-million people from Michigan to New England.

Regulators have imposed millions of dollars in civil penalties against energy companies that risk the dependability of the U.S. electrical grid since new rules following the blackout made such fines possible.
