11-Year-Old Boy Shot in Head During Double Shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Police say an 11-year-old boy has been shot in the head in a double shooting in western New York.

Officials say the shooting happened Wednesday night in Buffalo on an east-side street near the Cheektowaga (cheek-tuh-WAH'-guh) town line. A 20-year-old man was also shot.

Investigators say both the boy and the man are hospitalized with injuries that are considered life-threatening.

City Police Commissioner Dan Derenda says police believe the shooting is gang related.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation is underway.
