Assembly Candidates Rubino, Smullen will Debate Tuesday Night

The two candidates in the 118th NY Assembly District race will debate on Tuesday night at Fulton Montgomery Community College.

Democrat Keith Rubino and Republican and Conservative candidate Robert Smullen have both agreed to participate. The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Utica/Rome Metropolitan Area and Fulton Montgomery Community College.

It's scheduled from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the FM Theater, in the Visual Arts and Communications Building on the FMCC campus. It is free and open to the public.

Currently 118th district Assemblyman Marc Butler is retiring at the end of the year.

The 118th Assembly District encompasses Hamilton County and portions of Herkimer, Oneida, St Lawrence, Fulton counties.
