119 Cartons of Illegal Smokes Seized In Ilion

Ilion, NY (WIBX) - After a two month long investigation, New York State Police say they've arrested an Ilion man for the possession and sale of untaxed cigarettes. Authorities say they found 119 cartons of cigarettes after a search of an Ilion residence.

46-year old James Williams was arrested and charged with the two Tax law violations, one felony and one misdemeanor; Possession / Sale of Unstamped Cigarettes, a class E Felony and Criminal Tax Fraud 5th Degree, a class A Misdemeanor

 Williams was issued appearance ticket returnable in the village of Ilion Court on June 19, 2012 at 5:00 pm and released.
