12 Arrested At Sylvan Beach

Sylvan Beach, NY (WIBX) - An underage drinking detail conducted by State Police on the beach front in Sylvan Beach led to the arrest of a dozen people.

An underage Syracuse man was charged with possession of an alcoholic beverage with intent to consume.

The 11 others were issued appearance tickets for possessing an open container of alcohol.

State Police are reminding anyone visting Sylvan Beach that it's illegal to possess an open container of alcohol in a public place within the village limits.

The only exception is the picnic area to the west of the muncipal parking lot on Park Ave.
