New York, NY (WIBX) - 121212, The Concert for Sandy Relief to benefit the Robin Hood Relief Fund, is taking place tonight at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Nearly two billion people are expected to tune in via YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, foursquare, Facebook, Tumblr, and many other sites in addition to traditional radio and television.  It will begin at 7:30pm Eastern Time.

In addition to Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Kanye West, and Bon Jovi other performers will donate their time for victims of Hurricane Sandy.  The Who, Roger Waters, Eddie Vedder, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Chris Martin, The Rolling Stones, and Alicia Keys will perform as well.

All proceeds from the concert will benefit those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
