2 People Found Fatally Shot In Suburban Rochester Yard

FAIRPORT, N.Y. (AP) — Police are on the scene of a shooting that has left two people dead in the yard of a suburban Rochester home.

WHAM-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2xRO4cB ) that Monroe County sheriff's deputies and local police responded around 6 a.m. Wednesday to reports of shots fired at a home in the village of Fairport, just southeast of Rochester.

Authorities say two people were found dead in the backyard of a house on Williamsburg Drive.

Investigators tell the station that there were other people inside the home when police arrived on scene. Those people are now being questioned.

Police aren't releasing other details yet, including the ages and genders of the victims.
