SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Police say the latest shooting in Syracuse has left two men with gunshot wounds.

Authorities say officers responded around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to reports of a shooting on Gifford Street. When they arrived, officers found a 48-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his back.

He was taken to Upstate University Hospital, where he's listed in serious condition but is expected to survive his injuries.

Police say a 30-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg and was taken to the same hospital in a private vehicle. Officials say his injury isn't considered to be life-threatening.

Police say they have a description of a suspect who left the area of the shooting in an unknown direction.

At least four people have been fatally shot and more than a dozen wounded in Syracuse in recent weeks.
