Several shots were fired, but Utica Police say fortunately no one was injured. It happened Friday afternoon in the area of Sunset Ave and Oswego Street, and now two teenagers are facing charges.
Police say 16-year-old Trimard Campbell of Utica allegedly fired several shots into an occupied vehicle. Police say a passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Dion Silvagnoli, returned fire as Campbell fled the scene.

A police warrants unit was in the area and responded as Campbell ran through several backyards and into a home on Waverly Place, police said. Police were able to get the occupants of the home to come out, and eventually Campbell as well, however police say they were unable to retrieve a gun.

Meanwhile, police did stop the vehicle Silvagnoli was traveling in and took he and the driver into custody. They say they did find a gun inside. After conducting interviews, the driver was released.

Silvagnoli and Campbell each face charges of attempted 1st degree assault, and criminal possession and use of a firearm.
