A U.S. District Court Judge has dismissed a $20 million lawsuit brought against the City of Utica and various city officials.

Willie Walker sued the city, Police Chief Mark Williams, former Chief Dan LaBella, Corporation Counsel Linda Fatata and 13 Utica Police Officers.

He accused the officials of violating his civil rights while he and Stephen Patterson operated the after-hours club "Pete's" on Nichols Street.

Walker claimed between 2008 and 2010, he was subjected to false arrest and malicious prosecution.  He alleged that police officers fabricated evidence of illegal activity at "Pete's" for the purpose of bringing false charges against him and Patterson.

Judge Mae D'Agostino ruled that Utica Police officers had probable cause for all the charges brought against Walker and did not otherwise violate any of his constitutional rights.

An identical lawsuit filed by Patterson was dismissed last September.
