20 Oneida County Residents Arrested For Welfare Fraud

Utica, NY (WIBX) – The Oneida County District Attorney’s Office has announced the arrests of 20 local residents for welfare fraud.
Charges include welfare fraud, misuse of food stamps, grand larceny, offering a false instrument for filing and public assistance fraud.
Authorities say the fraud totaled nearly $37,000.
There are 12 people still at large with arrest warrants pending.
A number of local law enforcement agencies were involved in the “Operation Tax Burden” sweep.
