2011 Annual Appeal Nets Herkimer ARC $40,051

Herkimer, NY (WIBX) - The Herkimer ARC is purchasing and installing internal and external video cameras for all of its buses, thanks to the success of last year's Annual Appeal.

The non-profit's 2011 Life Is Beautiful Annual Appeal, co-chaired by Dr. Jaime and Jeanne De Paredes, raised $40,051.

Each day, the Herkimer ARC provides bus rides for an estimated 500 people, but also offers shuttle services to Herkimer County Community College students and groups.

According to President and CEO, Kevin Crosley, past appeals have helped purchase A.E.D. systems and upgrades in occupational, physical therapy and sensory equipment.
