2013 Oneida County Gang Reassessment Study Released

Is there a gang problem locally?

The 2013 Oneida County Gang Reassessment Study has been released.

The study shows that youth gangs have continued to emerge and grow in the region since an initial study done in 2005.

It also found that gang activity is widespread in Utica neighborhoods.

Meanwhile, County Executive Anthony Picente has announced the creation of  the Oneida County Youth Development and Violence Coalition

The Coalition will be a partnership of the area's community based organizations, school district representatives, government agencies and law enforcement officials
