The date and opponent for the annual New York Sash Utica College Teddy Bear Toss game are set.

The Pioneers men's hockey team will host Morrisville State in the 12th annual 'Teddy Bear game', to be played this year on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Utica AUD. Scot Hayes of New York Sash joined the Keeler in the Morning Show on WIBX to make the announcement Wednesday (audio below).

When Utica scores its first goal, fans are encouraged to throw stuffed animals onto the ice. Last year, nearly 4,000 stuffed animals were collected and donated to local holiday toy drives - Operation Sunshine, Marine Toys for Toys and the annual Keeler in the Morning Toy Drive.

Individual game tickets for the Teddy Bear Toss and other Pioneers home games are not yet available, but season tickets are on sale.

Here's video of last year's 'toss', which Utica won, 4-1, over Salve Regina.
