UPD Arrest Two Men For Robbery, Machete Attack

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Two men are facing felony assault charges for what police describe as an unprovoked attack and robbery attempt on a man walking along Whitesboro Street in Utica. Police say 24-year-old Brandon Hill and 25-year-old Jamie Lotoski punched the victim in the face and struck him in the stomach with a machete, after coming up empty-handed, during their attempt to rob him. But, police say their criminal activities didn’t end there—A short time later police responded to another incident involving the two men. In that incident, it’s alleged that the suspects struck another man in the face with the machete during a custody dispute on Stark Street. The case is now in the hands of the departments Criminal Investigation Division.
Brandon Hill (24) of Noyes St. in Utica is charged with: Assault 1st- B felony and Robbery 1st- B felony.
Jamie Lotoski (25) of Erie St. in Utica is charged with: Assault 1st- B felony, Robbery 1st- B felony and Criminal Possession of a weapon, which is a 3rd-D felony.
