Utica, NY (WIBX) - Two men are facing felony assault charges for what police describe as an unprovoked attack and robbery attempt on a man walking along Whitesboro Street in Utica. Police say 24-year-old Brandon Hill and 25-year-old Jamie Lotoski punched the victim in the face and struck him in the stomach with a machete, after coming up empty-handed, during their attempt to rob him. But, police say their criminal activities didn't end there---A short time later police responded to another incident involving the two men. In that incident, it's alleged that the suspects struck another man in the face with the machete during a custody dispute on Stark Street. The case is now in the hands of the departments Criminal Investigation Division.

Brandon Hill (24) of Noyes St. in Utica is charged with: Assault 1st- B felony and Robbery 1st- B felony.

Jamie Lotoski (25) of Erie St. in Utica is charged with: Assault 1st- B felony, Robbery 1st- B felony and Criminal Possession of a weapon, which is a 3rd-D felony.
