Baseball Bat Attack Sends Local Man to Hospital

Westmorland, NY (WIBX) – A domestic dispute sends a Westmorland man to a local hospital.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff’s department, 27-year-old Jason Tuttle got into an argument with his step-father and when the argument turned physical, it’s believed Tuttle struck the man in the head with a baseball bat.
The Sheriff says that Tuttle then fled into the woods, where he was later apprehended by the department’s K-9 unit.
Investigators charged Tuttle with felony assault, he was sent to jail, with bail set at $20,000.
The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital where he was treated and released.
