SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say three children have suffered serious injured in a three-vehicle collision on a Syracuse street.

Syracuse police say one of the vehicles came into contact with a second vehicle traveling in the opposite direction around 9 a.m. Monday. A third vehicle then made contact with the second vehicle.

Police say three children were thrown from their car seats. Officers say the children were taken to Upstate University Hospital. Information on their conditions hasn't been released.

Other details also haven't been released, including which vehicles the children were traveling in. Police say more information will be released Tuesday morning.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
