ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a man is in critical condition after he and two co-workers were injured when scaffolding gave way as they worked on a roofing project on a Rochester home.

Police say four contractors were standing on scaffolding at a house on the city's northeast side Monday afternoon when one of the ladders supporting the scaffolding collapsed.

Three of the four men fell to the ground. All three were taken to the hospital, where one was listed in critical condition.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident.
