TROY, N.Y. (AP) — Three people are heading to prison for an upstate New York apartment fire that led to the death of an 82-year-old woman.

Abbey Slaga, Tyler Smith and David Stanley were sentenced in Rensselaer County Court on Thursday to prison terms ranging from two to 22 years for the May 2015 fire that destroyed an apartment building in Troy.

Grace Halpin died at a hospital three weeks after she suffered a heart attack during the early-morning blaze.

Investigators say gasoline was used to set the fire. A video showed three people running from the burning building.

Twenty-three-year-old Stanley and 25-year-old Smith pleaded guilty this year to second-degree arson and first-degree manslaughter. Twenty-two-year-old Slaga pleaded guilty last year to reckless endangerment.
