Community Leaders held a third Peace Through Unity March last night on Utica's East Side on Bleecker Street.

Dozens of citizens joined Utica Police and local Religious leaders to show unity against the violence that has plagued Utica recently.

Pastor Mike Ballman of Cornerstone Community Church says it is important that residents speak up when they have information on violent crimes.

He says the stigma of 'snitching' has to be changed so that residents feel a responsibility to report crimes to police.

There have been at least a dozen incidences of violent crime in Utica since the beginning of June.
