VICTOR, N.Y. (AP) — State police say a tow truck driver and three other people have been injured in a multi-vehicle crash at a Thruway exit in western New York.

Troopers say the accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes at Exit 45 in the Ontario County town of Victor, 10 miles southeast of Rochester.

Police say their preliminary investigation indicates a tow truck was hit while loading a vehicle onto the truck.

The truck driver was taken to a Rochester hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Three other people suffered minor injuries.

The exit ramp and the westbound center and right lanes were closed until around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
