Utica Common Council Continues Budget Probe

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Members of the Utica Common Council had another opportunity to question Utica City Department leaders about the upcoming budget, Tuesday night they heard from members of Civil Service and Engineering.

Councilman-At-Large and Finance Committee Chair Ed Bucciero says the group is still working through the needs of some of the city's smaller departments to find areas to trim. According to Bucciero, substantial attention will be placed on the City's larger departments, namely the Police and Fire.  That budget hearing is scheduled for this coming Saturday at  Utica's City  Hall. According to Bucciero, the Common Council will met to approve or deny Mayor Palmieri's budget March 20th.
