69-Year Old Man Arrested For Swinging Machete

Oneida, NY (WIBX) - If you swing a machete at someone chances are pretty good that you will be arrested.

A sixty-nine year old Oneida man found that out yesterday.

Joseph Benenati is alleged to have swung a machete with the intention of hitting another person. Oneida Police say he then threw the big knife onto the roof of a nearby building so that police would not find it.

They did and added "tampering with physical evidence" to the menacing and reckless endangerment charges he is facing.
