ONTARIO, N.Y. (AP) — State police say a 94-year-old man has died after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in western New York.

Trooper say Andrew Strickner of Williamson was attempting to make a left turn at a flashing red arrow on state Route 104 around noon Wednesday in the Wayne County town of Ontario, 10 miles east of Rochester.

Police say Strickner turned into the path of another vehicle, causing a collision. Troopers say both vehicles were demolished by the impact.

Troopers say an 80-year-old man from Wolcott and a 77-year-old woman from Williamson who were traveling in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated at local hospitals.

Strickner was taken to Rochester General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing.
