A family in New Hartford got a rude awakening this week. Residents of Roberts Ave. called police early Thursday morning to report a woman yelling and kicking at the front door, demanding to be let in. According to Police, 24-year-old Areial Sturetavant then took a chair and smashed a glass sliding door. At about 6:30, she was found by authorities lying in a pile of broken glass. Police say it was apparent she was highly intoxicated. After Sturetavant was treated, at an area hospital, for cuts to her hands and arms she was sent to the county jail on 1 thousand dollars bail. The residents were not injured.
