The stabbing of a puppy sends a Utica woman behind bars. Rebecca Spratt allegedly stabbed a 6 month old pit bull in the head. The dog suffered a head wound and a significant amount of blood loss. The puppy was taken to the Burrstone Animal Hospital and treated for non-life threatening wounds. Spratt was charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty along with criminal mischief in connection with a domestic dispute happening at the same time of the stabbing. She is currently in city lockup on $3,000 bail.
