Search for Rome Bank Robbery Suspect Continues

The manhunt for the man who shot and wounded an Oneida County Sheriff's Deputy after robbing a bank in Rome yesterday morning continues. Law enforcement agencies from across the Mohawk Valley spent most of the day yesterday searching for 31-year old Brian Brown of Utica in a wooded-area near the SUNY I-T campus in Marcy. Police say Brown and another man, 24-year old Ikiko Brown of Utica, robbed the NBT Bank on Black River Boulevard yesterday morning. Ikiko Brown was taken into custody shortly after the robbery. He's scheduled to be arraigned this morning in Rome City Court. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Brian Brown. Meanwhile the deputy who was shot in the ankle, Michael Burger, is in stable condition at a local hospital.
