For the second time this month, a drunk driver has been arrested twice in the same in night. Herkimer Police say they stopped 22 year old Joshua Bubb after someone called 9-1-1 to report eratic driving. Bubb was charged with Aggravated DWI for having a blood alcohol content of 0.18% or higher. Bubb was arrested and later released to the custody of a relative. Police say about three hours after the initial stop, another person called 9-1-1 to report an erratic driver motoring through the village. Again, it was Bubb. Police say this time he had a BAC of above 0.08% and again he was arrested for DWI.
Earlier this month, Utica Police arrested a Whitesboro woman twice on the same night for DWI. Talitha Gorea, 33, was stopped for traffic violations and police found her with an open alcohol container and in possession of the drug ecstasy. She was charged with Criminal Posession of a Controlled Substance and DWI, in addition to driving in violation of a conditional license and consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle before being released to a family member. Police say about four and a half hours later, Gorea was spotted driving the wrong way on a one-way street at a high rate of speed. After a brief chase, UPD officers stopped Gorea and found her with another open alcohol container in her vehicle. After failing a series of field sobriety tests Gorea was again arrested for DWI and charged with numerous taffic violations.
