Veterans Day Events Planned in the Mohawk Valley

The Central New York Veterans Outreach Center and Utica’s Headquaters and Headquaters Company 2nd Battalion 108th infantry of the New York Army National Guard will be hosting the City of Utica’s Veterans Day Event on November 11, 2009 in front of the Veterans’ Outreach Center located at 726 Washington St, Utica, NY 13502. Bagpipes start to play at 8:30am.

 

The Masonic Care Community will honor its residents and employees who have served in the Armed Services at a special program on Wednesday November 11th at 10AM in the Health Pavilion Atrium.  A highlight of this event will be photographs of each veteran, some of who served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf Wars and Afghanistan.

 

A special program to honor area Veterans and their families from the entire Town of Kirkland will be held at the Clinton Historical Society at 11:00 AM on Veteran’s Day, November 11.

 

SUNYIT will observe Veterans Day at 9:30 with a ceremony sponsored by the student veterans club in front of the main entrance to Kunsela Hall. The event is open to the public.
