LAWSUIT: State Liquor Authority, The Turning Stone American Culinary Federation, The Beeches SUED over Liquor Issues

Liquor groups in 3 counties and 2 residents have filed suit regarding the sale of alcohol at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino. Madison, Herkimer and Oneida County Hotel and Restaurant Liquor Dealers, Oneida County Legislator Michael Hennessey, and Verona Resident Harry Burton are suing the State of New York Liquor Authority, The Turning Stone American Culinary Federation and the Beeches over liquor issues. Documents field in Oneida County Supreme Court contain 6 complaints from the oversight of the Turning Stone’s “non-profit” organization that contracts The Beeches for catering events, to the definitions of “club” and “member” at such events. According to court documents the caterer serves alcohol to patrons in violation of the State Law which states, “No Person licensed to sell alcoholic beverages shall permit any gambling on the licensed premises.” A hearing has been scheduled on December 16th in Oneida County Court in Utica.
