Davis-Bacon Training in Utica
Davis-Bacon Training in Utica

Anyone planing to bid on any subcontracting work for the Mohawk Valley Community Action Agency's Weatherization program must attend a Davis-Bacon training session. The training begins at 9 tomorrow morning and will end at 5. It will be held at Mohawk Valley Community Action on Rive Road in Utica. It is provided free of charge and will be available to all weatherization subgrantees, contractors, subcontractors and New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal. Davis-Bacon training will include background and general information of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act that is needed to understand some of the principles of the Davis Bacon Act. Also, training will include coverage under the Davis Bacon Act, the process of obtaining wage determinations and adding classifications, and compliance assistance and enforcement processes, including certified payroll requirements. Contact John Towne by phone at 518-474-6821, or email JTown@nysdhcr.gov to confirm your registration and provide names of those who will be attending.
