The Workforce Investment Board of Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties and Mohawk Valley Community College are being honored by the state. The Continuing Education Association of New York state awarded WIB as an Outstanding Organization for its extensive partnerships with MV and other local colleges to develop and offer Recovery Act programming. MVCC was honored with the Exemplary Program Award for its non-credit Construction Skills Training Program using Recovery Act funding to teach basic construction skills to a group of inner city, low income young adults.
