Local Woman Missing for One Year
Local Woman Missing for One Year

At last year's Heart Run and Walk, Laura Beth Pickard went missing without a trace. And although she was not participating in the run and walk, she was walking on the sidelines.

Pickard's sister Jennifer Ferrusi says she was last seen walking to the library at 76 Main Street in Whitesboro at 10 a.m. as the run and walk was taking place.

Ferrusi has returned one year later from Ohio to see if anyone may have remembered seeing her sister last year. "We're hoping to reach those people who have come back in the area for the Heart Run in hopes that can educate them," Ferussi said. "Maybe someone will recall seeing her. She was last seen wearing a white jacket, blue jeans amd blue with grey sneakers."

Ferrusi says there has been no evidence her sister went missing because of her own doing. She says when her sister disappeared, she was recently released from the hospital and was living in a group because she was mentally ill.

Laura Beth Pickard is 44 years old with curly brown hair, a slender build, 5-foot 6-inches and weighs 125 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Whitesboro Police Department 315-736-1944.
