America's Greatest Raises Over $1.1 Million
America's Greatest Raises Over $1.1 Million

A heart-felt thank you to everyone who participated in the 2010 America's Greatest Heart Run and Walk.

More than 8,700 runners and walkers helped raise over 1,125,000 for the American Heart Association on Saturday. The fund raising effort fell just short of its 1.2 million dollar goal, however, this was a record year in terms of the number of runners and walkers in Utica.

A special thank you also to those donated to the 39th Annual WIBX Slocum Dickson Heart Radiothon. Those you donated $39 or more to the Radiothon have been entered into a drawing for $390 worth of fuel from Clifford Fuel and a chance to win a diamond necklace incribed with "I Love You" from Freeman and Foote Jewelers. Donors who pledged $100 or more have an opportunity to win a basketball autographed by the Syracuse Orange Men's Team and coach Boeheim, a game-used hockey stick signed by Robert Esche, or a change to appear in the Holland Farms jelly-bun commercial.

The winners will be drawn live on WIBX on Monday March 8th--The $39 tier winners will be drawn during First Look (8 a.m.) and $100 tier winners will be selected during Sports Watch (3-5 p.m.).
