Police have released the name of this morning's shooting victim in Frankfort. Michael Grau, 28, was shot four times by two different guns at his home, 218 Railroad Street. He's being treated in the Intesive Care Unit at an area hospital and is expected to survive, police said.
A witness spotted two black males leaving the scene in a a white-colored SUV after the shooting, the vehicle was possibly a Jeep, police said. No guns were found at the scene.
Authorities are no strangers to that home on Railroad Street. They've been called there three times already this year for domestic disputes. They are now hoping to speak with the victim's girlfriend to obtain more information.
Neighbors Say Frankfort Couple Was Trouble
Some of the neighbors we spoke to who asked to stay anonymous say the couple involved in the early morning shooting in Frankfort today were always fighting at all hours of the night. Several of them said they suspect that drugs were involved in the incident police are calling a serious assault with firearms. One resident added that they recently moved into the neighborhood in April and have had several dealings with The Village of Frankfort Police. Officials did confirm during their press conference that Village Police were called to the resident 3 times this year alone. The couple live in the upstairs apartment at 218 Railroad Street.
