Meet the WIBX News Team

Jim Rondenelli

Jim Rondenelli is a life-long Utica resident who graduated from Herkimer County Community College in 1980 with a degree in Radio-TV Broadcasting. After a brief stint as a part-time sports reporter with the Utica Observer-Dispatch, Jim began his radio career at Utica's WRUN radio in 1982.

Today, Jim works overnights preparing most of the stories you hear during The Mohawk Valley's First News on WIBX. He also prepares the brief news updates heard on the other Regent Broadcasting stations.

Jim is an avid sports fan and collector of sports memorabilia. He also enjoys listening to music, biking and playing golf... although he refuses to divulge his handicap! Send e-mail to Jim.

Jeff Monaski

Although born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Jeff has always considered himself a New Yorker. Jeff is a graduate of Utica's Notre Dame High School and HCCC. While working on his Associate Degree at Herkimer, he began working for the area's top radio group, Regent Broadcasting. Jeff joined WIBX's news team as a full time reporter in February of 2005. Jeff ancohors the WIBX local news updates and is a co-host of the 5:00 News Block.

Jennifer Ringrose

Jennifer is a 2008 Public Relations graduate of Utica College. She's lived all over upstate NY from Rome to Beaver River and Old Forge to Herkimer. Jenn joined the WIBX News team in April while finishing her degree and started out as co-host of the 5 o'clock news block. Outside of reporting, Jennifer is in a bowling league and enjoys teaching swimming and snowboarding. Her dream job would become host of a recreational travel TV show. One thing you might not know about Jenn is she's visited more than 65 cities in 7 different countries. Send Jennifer an Email

 Kim Dunne

Kim is a Radio/TV graduate of Herkimer County Community College and a Journalism graduate from Utica College. Kim began her career in radio while a senior at HCCC, working at sister station Lite 98.7 WLZW. She joined the WIBX news team earlier this year and is now co-anchor of the 5:00 news block. She also continues working for Lite 98.7 as an overnight and weekend DJ. Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her dream job would be to write for a television show.
