It looks like some messy winter weather is on the way for Central New York.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Northern Oneida County and Southern Oneida County that will be in effect from 1:00 a.m. Friday to 4:00 a.m. on Saturday.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.

Snow is expected tonight through Friday.  Freezing rain is also likely Friday night.

Plan on slippery road conditions, including during the morning commute on Friday.

Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected tonight through Friday.

You can get the latest road conditions for the state by calling 5 1 1.
