Over 46 million Americans will be traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday, the highest level since 2007.

Ed Welsh of AAA Central New York says 89% will be traveling by car with the local price for a gallon of of gas about 42 cents lower than it was last year at this time.

The average price in the Utica-Rome market is $3.22 a gallon.

Welsh says he expects the price to fall another penny or two by Thursday and then stay stable through the weekend.
