Oriskany, NY (WIBX) - It was back to the hospital for accused cop-killer Christian Patterson. According to Oneida County Sheriff Rob Maciol, Patterson was assaulted while in custody; the Knoxville man is accused of killing Oneida County Deputy Sheriff Kurt Wyman last June.

We're told Patterson needed stitches following an assault that took place inside the jail, he was taken to a local hospital for treatment. 32-year old Alonzo Thomas Jr. from Utica, was charges with felony assault.

Deputy Wyman was gunned down while responding to a domestic dispute, Patterson was also shot during the altercation and was hospitalized for more than a month before being transferred to the County's lock-up.
