Accused of Throwing a Beer Can That Almost Hit a Child

A Utica man is facing charges of resisting arrest and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly arguing with a neighbor and throwing a full can of beer at her and her baby.

59-Year old Mark Kozien was arrested on September 11, 2014 at approximately 7:18pm after police responded to the 400 block of Deland Drive.

According to a written release from Utica Police, witnesses say Kozien was yelling at the driver of a taxi cab that dropped him off when he turned to a woman who had arrived in the driveway of her mother's home and then began yelling at her.

It is alleged that Kozien then threw a full can of beer at a woman who was in the process of taking her baby out of the car.  Witnesses say that the can almost hit the child.
