ACR Health Holds Narcan Training In Utica

Jim Rondenelli, WIBX

ACR Health is now training individuals in Utica how to use Narcan, a life-saving antidote to heroin and opioid overdoses.

Erin Bortel, Director of Prevention at ACR Health, says people who go through the training will learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose and how to administer Narcan.

Borterl says they know of three people who owe their lives to Narcan administered by people ACR Health has trained.

ACR Health held two training sessions on Thursday

The Narcan training is free.

For more information on Narcan training, you can visit the ACR Health website.
