Actor Andy Griffith Passes Away

Dare County, NC (WIBX) – Television legend Andy Griffith has died at the age of 86.
Griffith’s role as small-town Sheriff Andy Taylor on the 1960′s series “The Andy Griffith Show” made him a household name.
The show was one of the most popular television series in history, and is still seen in re-runs.
Griffth also produced and starred in another successful show, “Matlock.”
He died this morning in Dare County, North Carolina.
His cause of death has not yet been revealed.
