Actor Dennis Farina who starred on NBC's "Law & Order" died in an Arizona hospital today, he was 69. Farina is most notably known for his role of Detective Joe Fontana on NBC's Law & Order from 2004 to 2006. He also had key roles in feature films such as Saving Private Ryan, Get Shorty and Snatch.

According to USA Today Farina's publicist, Lori De Waal, said today that Farina died in a Scottsdale, Ariz., hospital after suffering a blood clot in his lung.

He is survived by his partner Marianne Cahill and three children from a previous marriage.
