Utica, NY (WIBX) - Adirondack Bank has stepped in to assist Utica city employees affected by a payroll error.

Instead of depositing the correct amount of money from an employee's paycheck into their individual account, the city's Direct Deposit Network withdrew that amount.

Senior Vice President Rob Clark says they're doing everything they can to help the employees who have accounts with Adirondack Bank.

Clark says they're covering all checks, providing their payroll and waiving all fees until the problem is resolved.

Any employees affected by the error can contact the banks' main office in Utica at 734-1442.
