Officers from several law enforcement agencies were on the scene of a bank robbery in the Town of Whitesboro, Tuesday evening.

According to Whitesboro Police Chief, Dominic Hiffa, the incident occurred at around 4:26, at the Adirondack Bank on Oriskany Blvd.

Hiffa says a white man walked into the bank with his face covered. The suspect then told a teller to give him money and claimed he had a weapon, though none was shown.

He then left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is  said to have been traveling east.

Hiffa says no one was hurt during the incident, and that the investigation is continuing.

The investigation is a joint venture between the Whitesboro Police Department and Marcy State Police.
