AG Sues Head Shops To Crack Down On Bath Salts

Albany, NY (WIBX) - State officials are coming down hard on sellers of bath salts. 

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is filing a dozen lawsuits against 16 head shops around the state, including Goodfellas Alternative Smoke Shop in New Hartford.

The AG accuses the shops of purposely selling specialty products like bath salts as something to be either ingested or smoked to get high.

The lawsuit comes as makers of products like bath salts and other synthetic drugs continue to alter their ingredients to avoid a statewide ban.
