Utica, NY (WIBX) - Some good financial news for Oneida County.

Three credit rating agencies have affirmed the county's credit rating.

The ratings are A+ with a stable outlook from Standard & Poors, A+ with a negative outlook from Fitch Ratings and A-1 with a negative outlook from Moody's

County Executive Anthony Picente says credit ratings are reflective of the agencies' overall opinion of a county's fiscal health and its financial operations.

Picente also says the higher the credit rating, the lower the interest rate when the county borrows money.
